Updates from the New Year

Hello all,

I don't know how many people are checking this blog - I, myself, haven't been here to post for 6 months! We still have a link to this site from the website I think.

So to catch everyone up -

I coproduced Sherry Landrum's Luck of the Draw: The Fully-Improvised Musical in the Fall of 2004 at Chicago City Limits w/ Sunvine Productions. Then we relaunched the show at The Improv in April & May 2005.

LOTD is now an LLC, so PTP won't be producing it any longer as a non-profit sponsor. I will be working on the project as an independent producer from here on out. Current plans for the show include an Off-Broadway run (TBD) and a regional theatre run at The Garage Theatre Group in NJ in Feb/March of 2006.

I am currently the resident producer at the Harbor Theatre. Our next production is scheduled for Spring 2006.

I am also entertaining other offers as an independent producer, so I'm not sure what the future holds for Process Theatre Productions as a non-profit-sponsored organization.

More later,
Stephanie

Happy New Year!

Hello all -

Thanks to everyone who supported us in our massive ventures this fall.
It was greatly appreciated and furthermore, we could have never done it without you.

Not sure what 2005 holds.

We would like to do another project if we could raise the funds -

Keep your fingers crossed and keep checking the sites for updates!

our mission

Our Mission Statement:

PROCESS THEATRE PRODUCTIONS is a growing company of artists who believe that a daring performance is the result of a collaborative, creative, and wholly integrated process.

Process Theatre Productions strives to support ALL actors, writers, directors by promoting artist development in a trusting environment where each individual can thrive and strengthen their unique talents. We draw on inspiration from a variety of sources and eagerly seek out opportunities to involve participants from a variety of disciplines. Our artists come from a diverse background and possess a wealth of skills. We do our best to create a process for the artists that allows them to grow and develop skills that they can use in their careers. Artists participate onstage and behind the scenes – it’s group theatre at its best.

Process Theatre Productions is equally committed to the development, creation and production of theatre for women including rarely produced or never produced plays, screenplays, writings and performance pieces and also larger scaled popular theatrical work. We strive to develop roles and opportunities for female actresses, directors, and writers.

Process Theatre Productions wants to see live theatre continue to thrive in New York City by supporting the work of fresh new playwrights and daring performances by talented actors. We welcome support and feedback from our community as we grow and learn. PTP shows are wholly integrated and the learning experience is complete for both artist and audiences. Experience the journey with us! For information on how you can make a donation to Process Theatre Productions, please contact us at (212) 491-8087 or processtheatre@hotmail.com.
